Performance, race prep and restoration
Built, not bolted together.
Brakes and suspension on a car that actually gets driven hard. Engine and driveline swaps. Fabrication for the parts nobody makes. We take the work other shops turn away, and we tell you what it will take before we start.

Hero shot: a car the shop has built, on the lift or on track
- You speak to the person doing the work
- A number before we start, not after
- Your own parts welcome

What we take on
Most of what comes through the door falls into one of these. If yours does not, it is still worth asking — a good part of the work here started as a job somebody else turned down.
We would rather talk through a build properly than quote it off a form. Anything beyond routine work gets a phone call before it goes in the diary.

Something that is not on the list? Tell us what the car is and what you want out of it. We will call you back and work out whether it is a job for us.
How it goes
What happens when your car comes in
The part people have been burned by elsewhere is the middle: work starting before anyone agreed what it would cost. Nothing gets touched here until you have heard the number.
Step 01
Tell us what you want
What the car is, how you use it, and what you want out of it. For anything beyond routine work we call you before it goes in the diary.
Step 02
Look it over
What you asked for is not always what the car needs first. We check the things that would undo the work - worn bushings, tired brake lines, a chassis that has been hit.
Step 03
Agree the job and the number
Parts, hours, and how long the car will be with us. If something turns up mid-build, you hear about it before we spend your money on it.
Step 04
Do the work
One car, one person seeing it through. You can ask how it is going and get an answer from whoever has their hands on it.
Step 05
Check it properly
Nothing leaves on the strength of having been bolted together. It gets checked, torqued, road tested and looked at again before you get the keys.
If something turns up once the car is apart — and on an old car it usually does — you hear about it before we spend your money on it. That includes telling you when a job has stopped being worth doing.

Why it matters where you go
The difference is who does the work and what they tell you
We take the awkward jobs
Swaps, one-offs, and the work that cannot be looked up in a labor guide. If it has to be made rather than ordered, that is normal here.
You talk to the mechanic
Not a service writer relaying messages. The person who knows what your car needs is the person who tells you.
Your parts or ours
Bring what you have already bought and we will fit it. If it is the wrong part for the job, we will say so before it goes on.
Straight answers
If a job is not worth doing, or the car needs something else first, we will tell you - including when that means less work for us.
